Family Rules

For the last year or two I have been seeing these cute pieces of artwork that people have been creating that have a list of rules for their family.  Some a just for fun and others a little more serious.  A few times I have contemplated making one myself but am not sure that I am quite crafty enough...yet.

I looked on etsy.com and a few other places to see if I could find one pre-made or have one personlized for me, but they either didn't say what I wanted them to or they were quite pricey.  Luckily I came across a cool website http://signsbyandrea.com/ where you can create your own.  There are a handful of suggested rules you can use or you can just type in your own.  Brilliant!

I looked into ordering a canvas print (I'm really into canvas prints at the moment) directly from Andrea (link above), but it seemed a little pricey; however, I paid the $9 to download the JPEG of my finished product (slightly discounted at the moment - Usually they're $11) and then ordered the canvas through Costco Photo Center.  The JPEG can be printed up to 16x20 size.

I'm sure someone crafty could make this for a lot cheaper - But for a great finished product I feel like $50 wasn't too much to pay!

I should also mention that once I had designed my piece I was able to email the link for my project to my husband who added a few of his own and moved the order of the rules around a bit.  It was fun that we were able to design this together.  We decided to hang this in our living room over the dining table.  It was a fun quick project.
